Mountain Biking - Down to two - which one?

My first time buying a MTB, have been riding a race bike for a while though. If I was to guess I would say my riding will look something like:

Paved roads: 35%
Compact dirt roads: 55%
Loose gravel, paths etc: 10%


I was set on buying a bike with disc brakes, but if i am honest with myself I am not really sure I need one... Assuming I will be just fine without I have arrived at the options below:

I'm a big Sram fan, but this time I have to say the components on the first bike are better. I've ran the XTR V brakes and they are awesome. I switched back to the Avids SD7's because they are lighter but they don't have the feel or the bling factor or the ease of adjustment of the XTR's

i agree, the first looks like the best deal. there's lots of LX/XT/XTR stuff on there, which are all nice components.
