What is the absolute cheapest possible roadbike i could get while keeping the quality in a decent range?
I'll be logging a decent amount of miles on it, and it needs to hold up.
i already have a Rockhopper Pro XC bike, and i want a roadbike to supplement it for the days i dont feel like riding the trails but still want to train.
thanks
What do you consider cheap? That would be a major defining factor...

Most of these are entry level road bikes, the scattante, ibex, tommaso give you a better drivetrain but are not the largeest but all are around $600 give or take.

Buy a used STEEL frame bike, a used aluminum bike can be fatigued and either already has hairline cracks or is ready to. A handbuilt steel frame can be repaired if necessary, provides an excellent ride and is a thing of beauty, not to mention that a steel bike with great components can be bought used for a few hundred. For that price however you probably won't be getting into STI or ERGO shifting if that is important to you. The important thing is to know the frame size that fits you and then have the discipline not to buy anything that won't fit.... no matter how good a deal it is.... you won't like riding it. Spend some hours on ebay and get to know the general price of stuff.
