There is a bent rear canti mount on a steel (853) cyclocross frame I am hoping to build up. The mount is bent into the seatstay slightly, so that the canti boss points upward at about a 15-20 degree angle. How bad is this? Is it possible to just bend it back, or does it require frame repair? Or should I just ignore it, adjust my brakes accordingly, and hope that it works?

it is steel so you might be able to bend it back without losing strength

I would try to bend it back, just go slow and be careful. I'd also put a bolt into the hole before bending the boss to keep it round.
