I'm trying to find some information about this model, specifically from 1991. I have an opportunity to purchase this frame and build it up for touring/winter commuting but I have very little information to determine whether it's worth the effort. Anyone here have any knowledge of this particular "vintage"? I'm really leaning towards a Surly LHT, but am not adverse to building up my own home brewed rig.
thanks in advance for any information.

I can't really remember working on a Randonee that old--- it's steel, isn't it? threaded 1 inch headset? More than likely, it's a nice frame. Personally, I'd be weary of buying it however. It may be cracked or damaged. Look at it very, very carefully. Unless you have a pile of used parts in your basement, buying a frame and then parts to build it with isn't a cheap option.
Just remember you can get a new Randonee or Surly LHT for less than $1200. That's a darn hard price to beat.
