Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I live in Centennial, a southern suburb of Denver. In fair weather I ride my mountain bike to work along the C470 bike trail, about 7 miles. I bought a new road bike last fall and have enjoyed riding with friends at work for lunchtime rides and with my son on weekends. I'm starting to feel my age now, and although I'm still am trying to keep the speed up, he dusts me on the hills.
Best Regards,
Ted

Hello Ted, if I remember correctly, there's a couple of BF members in Centennial. Check out the Mountain-Plains regional forum to see how many there really are.
What bike did you get?
Welcome to BF!

there are quite a few BFers in Denver and surrounding areas, and I'm currently splitting my time in Highlands Ranch and Park Hill (mostly Highlands Ranch though)
Welcome!

Hey Ted - I hear you about the next generation! They get faster, and we ... well ... well, we don't. :D

I bought a Specialized Allez Elite. I let my son do all the research and buy his first. It's a big step up from my old early 70's Raleigh International. Feels about half the weight and twice the stiffness.
Thanks for the welcome,
Ted

Hello Ted, Great to see you here on the Bike Forums. I have a Raleigh now. Back in the 70's it was a dream to own one. It is a good sturdy design and rides great.
I know what you mean about getting old and the younger riders. I like to take it easy now at 52.
Hope to read more of your posts soon.
Have a great sir.
Rob
