Every year, Shimano puts on a 2-day event at Suzuka Circuit. This was my first race, and I had a great time!
Short version:
Team Time Trial
3 laps (around 17.5 km)

160th out of 248
When we came around the 3rd corner, I saw an entire team wearing full-body cat costumes. Oh, those nutty Japanese. My 3-man team didn't practice time trialling before the event. As could be expected, we didn't do so well. One guy in my group was kind of slow, so we had to slow down and wait for him a few times. The other guy and I wound up doing all the work.
2-Hour Team Enduro
12 laps
2:06:54, 33.02 km/h average
79th out of 257
I was under the impression that the whole team would ride for the full two hours. It turned out that this was a relay race. For the enduro, our slow guy was replaced by a faster guy. One guy dropped his chain at least 3 times, and I was having some rear derailleur issues on my last lap. I'm pretty happy with our result, especially considering the mechanical problems.
I didn't win anything, but I got a free ticket to Cycle Mode (trade show) for registering.
