I ask in case I opt for the Swift and find I have to cover it when on a train or in the office.

Yes, check out www.swiftfolder.com. The bags have pockets for the loose pieces. Apparently, these bags are crafted on a "as needed" basis; I'm waiting for delivery of mine next week...

I made a basic drawstring bag for my Xootr last week. It uses a re-purposed shoulder strap from an old briefcase to carry the bike, with webbing continuing across the bottom of the bag for support. It's small when not in use, lightweight, and black....so grease won't show. Besides, it's easily washable. I made bags for the stem, seatpost, and handlebars out of a pair of old fleecy sweatpants and some adhesive velcro.

WalMart was having a Fabric sale at $1 a yard for Black polyester, that's what I used....2 yards.

The Dahon 20" soft bags worked great for my steel Swift Folder with drop bars. The bag packs down to something smaller than a lunch box and has straps to fit around your handlebars or on top of a pannier.

The new Xootr Swift Folders have the same basic design and I expect that it would work with them too.

I've also used this bag with my Bike Friday NWT and expect that my Bike Friday Tikit will also fit.
