Hi folks,
Just been riding about 4 months on my own now and I would like to find a group or club that I can join. In live near Torrance.

Welcome Timbo. :) I don't know of specific clubs or groups in Torrance, but I'm sure others on here will have suggestions. You are, of course, welcomed to join on any BF organized ride.

If you don't mind a little drive there is a very social, friendly club in Irvine - Bicycle Club of Irvine. The first Saturday of each month they have a "newbie" ride - it's intended to bring new riders with limited (but some) experience into a bike club. Everyone is welcome. You don't have to be a memebr to ride with BCI. Check out more information on their website bikeirvine.org.
The newbie rides are generally slow paced, "no drop" 12 - 18 miles long. The club offers other rides at various distance but these rides are ride at your own pace ie there is not a "no drop" policy. All rides stop in the middle for coffee somewhere. If you need additional info let me know.
Note if you can ride at a good pace, I would suggest you skip the newbie ride and join the yellow ride instead. You should be able to keep up with whatever groups are going out.
