Introductions - Hello from the land of great riding

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello everyone!
My name is Byron, and I live in Calgary Ab. I primarily ride mountain but have done it all from road racing to flatland BMX. If its got two wheels than I will ride the sh** out of it.
Typically I ride in Kananaskis, but have been spending more time in the Kootenays and have enjoyed it immensely.
My everyday warrior is an '06 Cake 3 DLX. I have a few others, but the Cake is so good all round that it seems to get the most use. Heres the beast:

You've convinced me :D . The teeth show some signs of wear, there's a tiny bit of dirt...all right, you're in.
What other bikes have you got?

Hehe, thanks.
I've got an old Spec Fat Boy, a Schwinn Predator, a Rocky Hammer, and recently parted with an Opus Andante. All over the map!

I don't know where to start asking questions!
How old is the Predator?
How'd you like the Opus? And how'd you wind up getting one?

The Predator is OLD! If I remember correctly I got it new as a gift in 1998.
The Opus was great. They are a terrific value, maybe the best in road bikes out there right now. They are impeccably kitted for the money. The full carbon bikes ride exceptionally well for their price points. They have a semi-traditional fit I find, and a lot of people are comfortable as a result.
I've worked in bike shops for years while going to school (Jr. High initially, and now I am finishing my undergrad) so I have ridden/demoed everything under the sun at one point or another from 5 digit Ti road bikes , to Schwinn Apple Crate cruisers. I just "retired" from the bike industry recently but might come back during grad school.
