Hey folx!

I'm Ellen, a seventeen-year-old Political Science/Peace Studies major at Manchester College in North Manchester, IN, which is about 35 miles away from Ft. Wayne... and totally in the middle of the country, which means lots of country roads for biking. In order to combat the Freshman Fifteen and to stay in shape, I'm going to try to bike 20-30 miles at least once (but hopefully more) a week (well, until it gets too cold) and hopefully also take a cycling class for my PE credit next Spring. I've cycled on and off for a couple of years now, but never really gotten into it.

My current ride is an old Sekai 2100 (pictures forthcoming) that my dad bought for my mom when they were in college, outfitted with such luxuries as drop bars and toe clips. Depending on what my birthday/Christmas bring, I may upgrade to those pedals that snap into your shoes and some cycling shoes.

Welcome aboard from a fellow College student here in Indiana! I'm an overaged one that lives in Lafayette! I rode up through the NM area last year in a one day ride from Lafayette to Syracuse. :)

Hello Ellen, good luck with your studies, and yes, we will want to see photos of the Sekai. That's great that you are able to recycle your mom's bike back into service :D .

Welcome to BF!
