Blogger's Forum - I've got a blog!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Jeez, I hope it's not contagious:)

Not much on there yet that you all haven't seen, but now I've mastered (ok, a small overstatement) yet another facet of internet technology.

Hey, as long as I'm at it, I'm doing another Team in Training season and my fund-raising website is at:
http://www.active.com/donate/tntgsf/tntgsfJBucley

Anyone want to donate?

Just how many self-serving links are we allowed to cram into one post, anyway?

I created a blog using .mac, but I found it much easier to post what's on my mind on here. I started it, and kept it going for several weeks, and I got lazy. Anyways, here's a link to my blog:

I started my blog in April of 2003. I was in the process of building up my new frame and was writing it down as sort of a journal when I heard a radio tech talk show and the guy (David Lawrence I think) said blogging was going to be the next big thing so I found blogger.com (lucky I happened to pick the one that got the biggest) and posted my journal in there and decided on a screen name.

At first it was a detailed ride report every time I did anything, and that got pretty old, then I got better with posting photos and scanning in my old stuff, and now I try to document conditions on the mountain and keep useful facts and figures about the mountain... every once in a while someone finds it useful.

Wife thinks it's a waste of time.

I do. I've been reading your blog for a couple of years now.

+1 - I've wanted to ride up Diablo for a few years now, and it was your blog (combined with some *subtle* pushing by a few TnT coaches) that finally got me off the coach and willing to try it. I'm still not fast, but I've done it as much as 3 times in one day.

Thanks! You too JB.

You saw then that I got a mention in the Trust but Verify site... man that's the big time... even if he did call me a nut. Actually he said he posted my graphs so Floyd could compare Diablo to roads he knows, so Floyd will probably be a regular reader now :o Actually I've got to create one showing Diablo and Mount Palomar next.

My wife doesn't think mine's a waste of time. But I'm still not going to show her the first Google Adsense check.

[edit] moving this thread to the Blogger's forum.

Hmmm - there's a very slight chance I'll ever visit the bloggers forum to post in my own thread!
