Does anyone know of races around the city? Accessible by public transport when outside of the city?

Also would anyone be down for an underground long(er) distance race?

Or a really green training partner?

I dropped by NYC Velo when I was visiting week before last. I chatted with the guy at the counter for a couple minutes, apparently most of the guys in the shop race CX and might be able to get you oriented.
