It reminds me of the type of bike I had when I was around 15. and that was 45 years ago. Think I ride my age on it then and it killed me.

Well done but do it with a bit more comfort next time. That frame is made for a front basket to put your snacks in.

Well done but do it with a bit more comfort next time. That frame is made for a front basket to put your snacks in. I purchased the bike from the son of the original owner who was 15 whe he got it in 1954. That is the comfortable saddle I've ever had it is only from the 60's, the bike rides very well, I feel I might have had a metric in me if I started earlier. Next week I'll do it on 30lb. bike instead of a 40+. BTW I wish I could go to the Pepin or ABCE someday. Thanks for the compliments.

Congrats on a good ride!

It would appear from the photo that the bike would be a 3-speed model and heavy. Riding 50 miles on that bike would be, for me anyway, quite a challenge. Well done!

Oh man, does that bike take me back. My neighnor had the ladies version back in 56. When I was tall enough, she let me ride it. I remember how fast that bike seemed compared to my balloon tire monster. I was convinced Raleigh made the finest bikes. I finally bought my own Raleigh in the early 70s. I almost bought a later version of the Sport, but the LBS dealer talked me into a 10 speed Record instead.
