I just bought a brand new 2007 Trek 520 and Trek or the LBS installed the wrong diameter seat post clamp. I thought this would have been something that Trek installs? How do you screw that up?
Anyways I am trying to find out what the proper size is. Does anyone have that spec, as I have not been able to find in the Trek website. Also the seat post says 27.2mm. Not sure how the clamp relates directly to the seat post number other than it probably needs to be slightly larger.
Also it is a Bontrager clamp and the only indication of size is the number 3 on it.
Also sucks that I did a 50 mile 'get the squawks out' ride (thank God) the other day and now the seat post's coloring is trashed due to sliding down a few times as I had to keep raising.
