i feel good - nuh nah nuh nah nuh nah nuh!


got my first 31 miler today!!! woulda gone further, but i kept getting interrupted by the neighbors who were off work today flaggin me down to talk! i just ran out of time...

i'm tired and a little sore, but its a good sore... i started working on some new hills today... i'm not sure whether to stand up and push, or gear down and spin... either way, its not easy, is it...

i want a 50 miler by Christmas!!!

31? That's great cause that means you can do 100 with a lil strategy (planned stops,right pace, and a sandwich at 65 miles).:D

Way to go. I like the "energized" feeling I get after a long, workout-like ride. As I get stronger and in better shape, the dead tired feeling is gone. Replaced by the energized feeling.
Just wave to the neighbors from now on. ;)

I humped 31 miles in 2 hours today. Felt great since the rain left.

Great job. Just increase that distance by 10% a week and you will have that 50 easily. It is always best, when going for new distances to stay seated and spin. The only time you should stand up is when you want to take pressure off certain parts of your body. Sheldon Brown says you should never stand up while going up a hill. It is supposedly inefficient. Of course, there are some hills that you either stand up for or get off and walk.
