Any clydes from northeast Ohio ever done the night ride on the towpath from Century Cycle in Peninsula ? They had one this past weekend. They are also having one on 9-22-07. I'm going to try to make this one. Post up if you've been there and done that.
I've done 3 so far this year and they are a lot of fun. I went this past weekend and had a blast. They always leave from Peninsula, right but the Century Cycles store, then go either north or south. This past ride we went south. We met up after about 6 miles or so. All but about 15 of us turned around and went back then. The group of 15 of us kept going south and ended up riding about 22 miles.
I'm hoping to make the next one, PM me if you are going to make it.

Yup, we usually make the Saturday rides if we are don't have out-of-town plans or a century or something the following day. Friday rides are harder for us to make, which is kinda strange, considering I work right up the street from Century.

I've done that ride a few years ago. I Love the trail and the folks at that Bike shop were very good to me when I stopped in. Of course for me, all I need is a bike shop, a bicycle or two and Trains and I'm good. That place has everything I need and a creek to cool off in after the ride! LOL!

My son and I went on one of the night rides. We had a great time. Went to the Winking Lizard after for wings, lemonade and iced tea (he's 11). The people at Century are a very good bunch. I've ridden a few times on the bike & hike trail north of the towpath. Far fewer people there, and you can get some hills in the Bedford Res if you keep going past Alexander Rd.

If you wanna get hills in, just climb in and out of the valley on any one or all of a dozen or so roads including Riverview (between 82 and 303), the Valley Parkway, Columbia, Boston Mills, Everett, Oak Hill, Ira, Martin, Yellow Creek, Bath, Steels Corners, Northhampton, Truxell, Sand Run Parkway, 303, Major, etc ;)

Yep, there are hills but, if you want to stay off the road, the Res is a good way to do it.

Mud Moose, I'm doing fine. How about you? I see you have a mountain bike. Do you trail ride? If mine ever gets here (08 Trek EX 8), we should go for a ride. There are a lot of good places to ride around here. I'll PM you later. Take care.

I may/maynot be at the next one.
I passed the last one on my way back to Peninsula. I was riding just as it got dark, coming back from 15 miles, and all of a sudden 40+ bikes with lights. I could barely see haha.
I want to make it a regular thing.
ricky - I think I remember passing you! Seriously, I was the first one out of the gate and was out in front for a while, until faster riders began passing me. I do remember passing several riders going the other way. They are a lot of fun and everybody is super nice and supportive. I think there is only 2 more left scheduled this year so you don't have many more you can miss.
