So I have to use this program called SolidWorks for one of my classes and the latest version is for XP and they havent come out with a Vista version yet. I'm downloading it right now with the expectation that it should work with Vista. What do you guys think? I need the program to do an assignment.

There is a Vista version, according to the web site, and it's available in the student edition as well: http://www.solidworks.com/pages/products/edu/studenteditionsoftware.html?pid=107
We're sticking with XP / Server 2003 at work for now. Our most important piece of software does not run on Vista (with no plans announced to). Vista seems to be more targeted at home users, not businesses.

That is assuming Vista was targeted at anything at all ;)

Indeed.
This is the most worthless "upgrade" i've ever seen a company make. The only reason i'm sticking with it is because
A.) i don't want to reformat again
B.) It only cost me $8 for vista ultimate through school
C.) Areo...really...does kinda look cool...http://www.digitalcuriosity.com/Images/Smiley.jpg
D.) Seriously...vista media center is amazing...
