Today, I had a small (but large--is that possible?) victory.
A representative of the Louis Garneau company said he would send me a brand new helmet for free.
The crash that destroyed my helmet happened exactly 18 days plus one year after I bought my Louis Garneau helmet. I didn't even have a receipt--the bike shop I bought it from had only a record of the purchase at $54.99 for a miscellaneous item!
Louis Garneau has a one-year total replacement guarantee for helmets damaged in a crash.
A neat thing was that after calling the representative at a 800 number, I heard a baby crying in the background. My imagination?
Wow, I am so happy! :)
Thanks, folks at L. Garneau! (I think it's a Canadian company...)
