Hello All,
Been lurking for a few days and this forum looks like it has a lot of good folks and good info. Been biking off and on now since 1987. First bike was a Trek 1000 I bought in Tacoma WA when I was stationed at Ft Lewis. Don't remember the name of the shop. Added a Nishiki mountain bike a year later to take adavantage of all the great rides in the Seattle area. Moved away from there in 1991, but have many good memories. Nishiki was stolen while I was in Germany and replaced a few years later with a Giant Iguana which I still have. Sold the Trek 1000 and bought a Cannondale R700 in the Summer of 2002 after doing the Clarksville Rotary Annual Metric and seeing that I needed a newer bike. Do almost all road cycling now as I live right on the border with kentucky and have access to some great farming roads. Training is a roller coaster since I am gone 7 months out of the year, but do what I can. Hope to ride in the upcoming Leaves of Lincoln century taking place on 6 October in Fayetteville, TN.
