Mine was very busy! I had a blast though! Got about 50 miles in on the bike, a little light for me but I pounded on my body in other ways this weekend! I got to ride a Jet Ski for the first time this weekend! Not too many pics, just a showstopper pic of my Niece, Mallie in the trailer, you're gonna melt!
One cool thing, on our 50 miler Saturday, Mallie started calling off the cars. I was riding sweep for the pack since the trailer has a very bright flasher and every time I'd call "Car Back", Mallie would echo it (She's 16 months, by the way...). She actually figured out what it meant, because she'd started beating me to calling the cars....blew my mind!:D

The rest of the weekend, I pounded myself on a Jet Ski. Talk about a blast! Whole body workout! I HURT! No pics, because the camera isn't waterproof, but I'll tell ya....I had a blast!

I did over a hundred miles on a local MUP at the lake - it was an obstackle course with all the people out. Good scenery though. ;)

I chomped down 60 miles along the Michigan side of Lake Michigan. Fun ride. The streets are very nice around Muskegon going north to Muskegon State Park, but then they turn into all-out pothole goodness.
But the weather could not have been any better.

I did 35 miles around Lake Sammamish and through downtown Bellevue, helping a friend figure out a commuting route. It was the maiden voyage of Japanamount! (the restored 1991 Paramount Series 5) after putting the wide span cassette and adjustable rise stem on it. Aside from the bars being a little narrow for my taste, it was very comfortable and very fast. At only 23 pounds, it's quite a change from the 38 pound fat-tire commuter.

I did 2 - 20 mile rides, both we're bar setters for me. Kept a 14mph pace on both.

I Rode about 45....
10 on Friday While my mother in law watched my son (3 month old first born... I've been scouting for trailers for a while now)
5 on Sunday with my 6 year old nephew! (when we got back he wanted to do it again, we went swimming instead and I took my son in for his first dip)
and about 30 on Monday. I rode to my mother in laws dinner and back. (to burn off the dinner)
The way back was interesting after a few (4) stiff drinks. :)
I didn't ride any more than normal, BUT i cleaned out my garage and my basement and set up a bike workspace, complete with cubby holes for rims and tires, and overhead rack with lots of matching little translucent boxes for parts, and a giant pegboard, which I still have to paint a girly color and draw outlines around the tools. I have shop lights set up and a portable radiator.
I'm very impressed with it.

We were camping and boating all weekend. I did get a 22 mile ride in Saturday morning along the back waters of the Mississippi River. I rode from our campground and caught up with Buffalo County WI Rd. 00 and rode though Buffalo City and down to Indian Creek and back. I forgot the camera, silly me.
Here's the route.

I feel like such a wuss - 3 days off you would think I got in alot of riding but sadly, because of the weather (very hot and humid) I shortened all my rides and on Sunday didnt get out at all. Saturday I was suppose to do a mountain bike ride but elected instead to do a short road ride (23 miles). That evening met a friend for a BBQ but decided to order out as it was too hot to cook outside on the grill (about 102 and 70% humidity). Sunday it just started out hot even early so I stayed in and actually did some house work. About 1pm I ran out to do errands and was back in the air conditioning by 3. Just sat and watch movies all night.
Yesterday got out and had planned 40 miles but barely made 20. I got very dehydrated and had a thumping headache all day. In the evening met friends for the Angel game. It was very sedate - I think it was too hot (100 ) inside the stadium for folks to jump around. I could barely move without getting all sweaty (ugh - not fresh, not fresh at all!).
I live in an area where many homes do not have air conditioning. I have only window cooler in my living room. Last night I pulled my mattress out in front of the cooler and crank on the air. I actually got some sleep although I had to fight my cat for the best air stream.
Labor Day weekend - now doesn't mine just sound so exciting? :p

I put in about 18 miles on my post cadence training legs (7 miles) on Saturday. Went out with my 5 year old son for about 4 miles. He's doing great for 16 in, knobby wheels, cheapola xmart bike.
Then on Monday, I biked to the brewpub and back home (14) . So, I got a respectable 43 miles or so.

The trike and your bike fit in the van without taking anything on the trike apart? All wheels are on the trike?
Busy weekend. Only got out biking one but did 32 miles on the Tunnel Hill Trail in Southern Illinois. It was quite fun. Crushed limestone over an old railroad route. One of the highlights is a 90 foot tall, 430 foot long, old railroad bridge

Started my brick training this weekend, did 61 miles at 18.2 overall average, then did 20 min of jogging. Switching from the bike to running was a lot harder than I thought it would be. After 7 min. I had to stop and stretch really good, my calf felt like it was going to explode. Hoping to keep the bike distance the same and increase running every other week.

It was a really cool trail to ride. I would recommend it to anyone who happens to be down in that area. I rode the stretch from New Burnside to Vienna (about 16 miles one way) and back. Only a couple of rural roads to cross on the sections I did. Water and restrooms along the way also. The entire trail is 45 miles long.

Weekend weather in SE PA was finally low humidity and temps in low 80's. Got wife on the trail on Saturday for her longest ride of 8 1/2 miles. I went out later in day for an additional 14 miles on the road bike. I signed up for a 27 mile route on Sunday at the Brandywine Tour; but was feeling so good I went for the 50 mile route. They had a record turnout of 431 riders and ran out of route sheets; but roads were well marked. Too many long hills for my tastes, but I hung in there and completed the route in 4 hrs. 11 mins. Had a young man with his 5 year old on a back seat of his odd tandem, and towing an infant in trailer, pass me on a hill. But then figured I have all the weight he was towing hanging on my body, plus 30 years of muscle loss. So his pass was to be expected. Wife actually wanted to ride on Monday, so put in another 8 1/2 with her. Then did some work on bikes and finally collapsed.

I got up to the family cabin at 6 on Saturday. After feeding some mosquitos, we went to the casino and funded the local tribe. Sunday was a buffet breakfast followed by a solo 17 mile ride on roads with no shoulders and lots of short steep rolling hills and corners - NO sightlines! That was followed by the last swim of the season then a nature photog session (images below) in the water along the shore feeding the leeches.
We had our communal vacation pot luck: grilled steak and chicken, beans, corn, potatoes, desserts, etc. Sunday night ended with poker where I raked my uncles over the coals. In-Between where the joker pays a dollar makes for big pots. :)
Now I'm back on midnights wishing I was retired. :(

Thanks, Stujoe. I am jonesing for the next, latest and greatest camera, but my wife won't allow it until this one breaks. My uncle had a new Pentax digital SLR, but he was overwhelmed with all the bells and whistles to keep up with my little point-n-shoot. :)

Ooh..ooh...I am so in on this one.
Tom...I rode a jet ski for the first time this weekend too!! Wow! They're fun.
Here's the thread (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=340038) that is reporting this event I went on here in SoCal.
I'll post a few pics here, though to whet your whistle:

If any of you can ever get out west, gimme a call. :)
I am very lucky. I live about 15 minutes from the Tunnel Hill Trail in So. IL. I have rode the 20 mile loop from the Vienna Trailhead thru the Tunnel and back every weekend for the past month. This past Saturday morning I hit the trail about 7am, strapped the IPOD on and took the beauty and fun out of the trip and tried to set a new personal best time. I made the 20 miles in 1:23:00 at an avg of 14.2mph this took about 12 minutes off my last time and took my avg. up by 1.1 mph on a mountain bike. Here is a link to some video I took Saturday before last. I have not got the shakey head thing down so bear with.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4565779992651466046&hl=en
This past Sunday evening I rode a fire road in the Trail of Tears State Forest. This was an 8 mile loop with a couple killer hills. So steep that the gravel slips out from under on the climb. I am stunned at how hard this was a couple months ago and how much better it is now. In part because the CamelBak has solved the hydration , but maybe in part because I am getting a little stronger :-) Anyway, her is a really bad video clip from that ride. I capture a lot of what I do on camera and video. Everybody thinks I am nuts. Oh well! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6479467628670556773&hl=en
Thanks for letting me share.

All the wheels are on, there's a trailer folded and tucked in there too, as well as our bags, a guitar and a cooler!

We were on the trail at the same time on Saturday then! I started from New Burnside about 6 or 630 AM and hit Vienna about an hour and twenty later. Went to the restroom, got water, ate a banana and looked through the little museum and then turned around and headed back for the next hour and twenty.
