Fifty Plus (50+) - Guess what I got?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Don't know about the rest of you but I am in Maintenance mood right now. End of the Summer- and I am just preparing to get back to "Keeping" in trim for the rest of the year. High winds in the wrong direction are going to be the Norm for weekend rides and I dare say there will be a bit of rain and cold to go with it.
So it is down to preparing me and the bike for winter right now. Checking the Steel nuts and bolts for rust and changing the Cables over to stainless steel from what is fitted. Have to change the brake pads shortly to something that will work in Floods but they can wait a few weeks.
So here I am working on the bike and the Postman arrives. Not really as it was waiting for me when I got home. My sponsor has sent me a new product to try out. I am not going to tell you what it is as I have to do a bit of preparation and adaptation to use it properly So it is up to you lot to guess what it is.
Attached is a pic of me fitting it and NO- It is not a Monks habit to go with my haircut. That was a shock as I never realised I had lost that much hair. I can assure you that it is something you would give the kids bikes away for but just to give you a clue- A pic of my dessert this evening- and it was apple and Rhubarb.

A computer?
power tap.
Maybe the new Polar one that goes on the chain?
With that desert, you could measure the watts needed to burn it off.

One of the women will be in here shortly to suggest it was a sex change operation.
Some kind of supplement that may have an apple or rhubarb flavor.

A sex change operation?
I think it was the "make me smarter" statement:)
stapfam,
The cream must be rising to the top. Imagine my astonishment at checking the forums today and seeing what you had recently received! We must be running the same sponsor as I just got mine the other day. We are running a little behind Skipper however, I know for a fact that he got his a couple of months ago and he kicks a-- on the hills now! I was seriously thinking about wandering over to his place and cobbing the bloody thing but he keeps it locked up. Go figure-whatever happened to trust. I also know that we were the first to get them in the US-I suppose that its another asian innovation. I hope yours helps as much as mine has.(he says having all ready gone on a test ride)

If someone was going to send me something to help me go up hills faster, it had better be an electric hub motor with a battery pack.

I hate them aswell. But just a couple of things- The company in question has now Gone "International" it is a small company with a few hand selected riders that understand quality when they see it- And taste it for that matter. It is not a company that is unknown to this forum and in fact has received praise from numerous people- and not only from the Cycling world. In fact it was decided many moons ago that as we are a virtual Community- Rarely meeting one another in person- and mostly communicating by the internet, That our Virtual Clubhouse should be this establishment.
To put you out of your misery- I should point out that my sponsor has not actually sent me any of their Range of Products so far- It could get a bit messy- But they are using my person and Expertise to market their Establishment Internationally.
So how jealous are you Now?

Stepfam has accepted the honored position, which is held in ceremonious awe of cyclists around the world. Yes, Stepfam is the symbol of everything that is high-calorie, for he is ... Pie Man.
There goes the waistline ...
