Southern California - Los Angeles area wheel builders

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I know there are alot of good LBS's in LA. Does anyone have experience with any of them as wheel builders? I'm thinking a pretty standard build such as Velocity Areohead/DT swiss spokes/White industry hub or something similar. Gracias.

Our very good friend Paul Kopit is a GREAT wheel builder. He built us two sets of wheels for our single bikes, and an awesome set of wheels with Phil Wood hubs for our tandem. I highly recommend him. His price is very good! Please e me personally and I'll give you his contact information.

Mark Hebert at Competitive Edge in Rancho Cucamonga and Jack Franklin at Coates in Pomona both build excellent wheels. Both have built training and race wheels for me. They're both 909 so that might be far for you but they do good work and both have worked for professional racing teams.
