Fellow Runners,

At the Technical University in Denmark, we have developed a web service that helps you improve performace through heart rate zone based workouts. You can create your own workout on the website and upload some music to accompany it.

www.swirlfit.com (http://www.swirlfit.com/) creates an MP3 file with virtual coaching instructions with your music in the background. You play it on your iPod or MP3 player. So you need an iPod or MP3 player to use it.

We are looking for beta testers - everyone is welcome to try it out and give us feedback.

If you like it, this is a service you will be able to continue to use for free.

Cheers,
BikerMan1234

Um, the least you could have done when spamming us is to realize this is a BIKE forum and not a RUN forum...

Who cares if he is spamming or if he is addressing runners? the idea is great, it is free and worth trying it out. Dont be rude with the guy, he's just looking for beta testers...

Jeez...

You do realize this was done by a bot right? So it doesn't really matter if we are rude or not.

Frankly I didn't know that. How can you tell it is a bot?

Name that lookes like it was auto generated, first and only post advertising something, wrong forum. If you google same exact post appears on other forums.

Hey guys. I am not a bot. But I have been out of the country for a week or so and unable to respond to your posts.

I'm sorry if you consider this spam but it is relevant for bikers. In fact there are some serious bikers testing the product for us right now. I have been posting in different forums because the application supports a variety of indoor and outdoor exercises. Hence my confusion and reference to runners when i should have said bikers.

Feedback from members of communities like bikeforums.net is important for us to understand if we've built something useful. My exercise of choice is cardio and strength workouts at the gym as well as speed hiking mountain trails. I do mountain biking for fun but not for training.

All of us in this group at the Technical University of Denmark are training enthusiasts of one sort or another. We built it for us, but we would love to know if it's useful to you. As an engineer, your first reaction once you build something useful is to share the fruits of your labor to see if anyone else finds it useful. That's why we're out looking for beta testers.

Any takers?

Cheers

I'd be interested. Is it free? What happens after the thirty day trial period? There's no pricing information on the website. Do I set up the workout my self, or does the site do it?

Hi gunnar,

You can continue to use the service for free with an iPod or MP3 player. We are also developing a specialized MP3 player with an integrated heart rate monitor which will eventually be available for purchase.

With our special MP3 player, in addition to your music and virtual coaching, you will also get real time audio heart rate feedback to tell you if your actual heart rate is above or below your target zone. It's pretty cool actually. :) We are just testing that now.

But as far as I know, the basic web service is free. I will double check on that for you.

Cheers,
