I am using a Trico Iron case to bring my bike to Italy on Friday for a 2 week tour. Getting it packed was a bit of an experience but when all is said and done, it seems to have worked (although I'm pretty nervous about my spokes).

I encourtered one issue though. As I was strapping the case down, one of the short straps on the end pulled out of the case (there's a little slit where it hinges into the case). It doesn't really affect performance right now and I'm reluctant to reopen the case to figure it out. Has anyone ever have this happen/does anyone know how this attaches inside/will I be able to reattach it fairly easily?

It's really simple Jeff. I've never had this happen but all there is to "the system" is the strap you apparently have in your hand and the slot. Once the foam has been compressed and left for a little while it's easy to go back in for a few minutes if need be. Go back in and fix it. I'm guessing they had the inside portion of the strap folded in the wrong direction, allowing it to be pulled through.

thanks ron. sounds fairly simple but i'm going to wait til i get to italy to do it bc the strap really isn't doing much. hope you enjoyed alaska.
