Fifty Plus (50+) - Eurobike and the world of white.

White may be the color of 2008 if the European market is an indicator. FSA's Wing Pro aluminum bar, OS-115 stem, XC180 flat bar, XC 282 riser bar, SL280 alloy and SL250 seatposts all will be available in white next year.

The rear triangle on my Look KG481SL is white and I have had a few white components over the years (including a rear derailleur) and I don't like white paint on bikes. :p

White looks great on a bicycle when it's clean which is almost never if you actually ride the bike. :rolleyes:

I'd repaint my Look if it was feasible but I guess I'll keep using exorbitant amounts of diluted Simple Green to keep it reasonably clean. ;)

Capo #2 (1960) is a subdued cream white, with a red head tube and some red on the seat tube.

My son's 1969 Camaro is white with a blue interior, which I think is a great combination.

I have told you guys about my friend who claimed about 35 years ago that "God rides a white Masi."

I said the same thing in an earlier thread. The white is gorgeous until it gets micro-scratches in the finish and they fill in with grime. I've owned four white bikes and all four were a bear to keep looking nice after the first season (6,000 miles or so).

So what bike should I buy next, to replace my white Roubaix? :D

Yet another reason to own more than one bike, I suppose.

Best to get is a Mountain bike- Scratches come with ease but you can't see them because of the Mud.
