Here's the deal. 31 years old, 160lbs, 5'11. Looking for a bike:

1) For some dirt jumping, I'll probably build a few jumps on my property. Mostly just to ride along with my young kids and try a few tricks along the way.
2) I want a gyro for barspins and such. Also front brakes would be nice to try some basic flat land tricks while riding along with the kids with no others obstacles around. I guess I could add them myself if I have to.
3) Because I'm relatively tall I'd like something with a longer top tube.
4) It doesn't have to be ultra strong, as I'm not really going to be beating it up that much and I can replace what I do break.
5) I'd like to spend $300 to $400.

I've read the forum and looked into the DK, Haro, and MirraCo models, but there's so many brands, and I don't understand the subtle differences between models and styles. Also, what is Stolen's website?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

No. Stolen Wrap, add front brakes.

Don't worry about buying one with brakes on the front. Stock brakes are usually crap. Get an Evolver/EVO II.

I've thought long and hard about a cruiser, but I don't really need a more versatile bike. When ride this it will be play time. Also, if you put a gyro on a bike with the fork cut short, won't you loose stem clamping area on the steerer tube and compromise strength?

Of course I see now that many people just run long cables which buys them a couple turns of the bar. It'd be some kind of miracle if I were ever able to fly through the air while holding the bars as the bike spins around. (I don't know what that's called)

That brings me back to the ever popular 6-pack or Wrap.
