In a total 'duh' moment, I just figured out that the advice you read to adjust the seat angle to near-level doesn't work if your seat has springs in the back and a pivot near the front, and you weigh enough to tilt the saddle up when you sit down (slaps forehead too hard, shakes head).

I have springs and set mine pretty level without load. I guess that is a good thing.

Mine is sprung as well and set level without load. If you nose down it, you tend to slide forward on the saddle and load your hands and wrists more.
