One issue with scarification: Scar tissue doesn't really stretch.

I was fine until I realized that was skin laid out on a cloth. YUK!

so yeah, there's a lot of weird stuff out there in the real world kid. Some of it is best left tried by somebody else, mkay.

I liked the OP's scars. Those were earned.

As for the design on the back, especially the strips of flesh, looks cool as an end result, but fairly ghastly during the process.

Thanks! However, mine left no skin for me to deep fry into crisps :(

When I was a young punkrocker, I couldnt afford /likker/meth / heroine/ lsd/and gold
paint and still get a rad, gnarly and skeery tattoo so I cut an Anrchy "A" in my
arm with a knife. Not only did it get terribly infected, it is a source of constant
embarassment today because over the decades its morphed into some other
ugly and embarassing Rorshackian(?) wackiness.
Obviously, the drug stuff is a joke but the other stuff isnt. Be careful what you do
to yourself cuz you will get old one day. For some reason Limp Biskit or Korn
just isnt as k3wL to 45 year olds as it is to pubescent 16 year olds

I have always thought I was pretty hard to offend or gross out. I guess this confirms it: I was eating tortilla chips with salsa while viewing the link and I didn't flinch. However I'll never look at funnel cake quite the same way again.

Well, it does look cool. But it is not worth the pain.

Holy cow! you just introduced me to a whole new world. People actually have strips of SKIN removed from their BODY for ART?! REALLY?????!!!! I was just getting used to the whole ear piercing stretching thing and you show me this? sheesh. I think I'll keep my skin intact, thank. Crono, yours is cool because you earned it.

Its not just stretching. I've seen pictures where they actually punch a hole in the ear for gauges.

woooow.... can't say I was really that grossed out, but that's about the most ridiculous example of scarification I've ever seen. At least with a tattoo you can have it touched up every few years and it'll look great. Don't know if you could do that with scar tissue. If you had the more traditional tribal pattern of dots and lines it wouldn't be too reliant on the image resolution.

That's ****ed up. I don't think it looks cool at all.

da, the image itself is actually kind of dumb.

Mmmmm. Cracklins...

I don't have much room to make commentary on other people's choice for body art, since I've got 17 hours worth of tattoos, and I used to wear 1/2" stretches in my ears.

Would I do it? Nah.
Would I have done it 15 years ago? Probably not.
Do I regret the art I have? Not a bit. But I don't see myself getting any more for a while, either.

Pretty much my view, except I was eating a burrito.

Once knew of a motorcyclist that crashed, slid down the pavement on his butt until both cheeks were worn off completely.

That reminds me of this. Ugg.
