Jeff,
Darn, but I love LeMonds! I hope you get as much joy out of it as I got from just drooling over the pictures!

Ah yes, the pin-up saddle! Well, I regret to inform the masses that the pin-up saddle now rests atop my desk @ home. It is the coolest saddle on the planet - there is no doubt about it. However, it was a bit too firm for me. I was beginning to develop a saddle sore, so I switched back to the stock saddle - a Selle San marco ASP. It was like going from a concrete step to a fluffy couch!
Here's my baby while she was on the bike:
Here she was on the bike. Damn - it was the perfect color match also!!!!

Damn that is a pretty seat... I'm rockin' the Selle italia Flite Ti now... it is hard as a rock, but doesn't bother me after about 20 miles... it just gets more comfy.. hmm i wonder if that seat wouldn't be too bad for me... I have to see if my cousin in England can send me one !

I agree... at first I wasn't too sure on the Red/Black... I bought the frameset on Ebay.. and it looked ok in the pics... but when I opened the box... I was super happy... the red and black really stand out.. and i've yet to see another one in that color in my neighborhood... although I think 80% of the people I see out here ride Treks.. not too many Lemonds... but they are growing... the black actually has some metallic sparkles in it if you look at it out in the sunlight

Phatman,
There is absolutely no way that a Green bike will EVER be sexier than a red and black bike... same as sports cars... when was the last time you saw a green Ferrari ? Red is the only way to go !! :D
Jeff
those lemonds are very nice to look at.. And i'm sure they ride like a dream, based on thier geometry -- i checked...
I guess I'll be making a frame with a similar geometry after i loose 30lbs (my next project).. hehehehe...
the red-black really is nice... I just wonder how a yellow/black+green would look like? hmmmm... ideas.........
I will call it LeDex, i guess....
:D
Alright, I gotta chime in.
Here's my 2 week old Lemond Zurich. It's my first steel ride. I love it!

well, in my case, it's not only the LeMond, but also the backdrop...A lovely mural on the side of my shop's building of a turn of the century local bike club...

I love my Reno, it's a nice..."comfy"...road bike but it's getting retired for one of these:

Yeah, it's a Kinesis built aluminum frame, but it's got these absolutely SEXY carbon stays and fork! And god aweful light to boot! she went on order from Raleigh USA yesterday...She'll make a nice companion to my '73 Raleigh Competition that I'm refurbishing right now...

I like the color scheme on that Zurich. Very nice. The red and black is better, only cause it's my college's school colors!!! Yeah, Northeastern University!!!!!!!!!!
