Hey all, I was just wondering what would be inolved with building a bike/skate park. My brother has a large sum of indispensable income, and would like to invest in something realatively worthwhile. He initially suggested a skatepark, but neither of us know anything about the design or the layout of such. Can someone give details as to materials, dimensions, layouts and furthermore, price.

That should help you out quite a bit.
me and my friend are doing the same thing and all you need 2 do is get some money for wood and look at ramp plans on the internet and start building.we have a cement slab 2 do this on.

Its not as easy as it looks. My cousin and I built one last year, and it took us months. Well worth the effort though :)

Do you mean "disposable income"?

Talk to a company that builds swimming pools about doing curved basins from shotcrete.

hey wahts up you have to go to city hall and tlk to them about it and they will tell you what to do from there
I was talking to somebody from the local council, and he reckons that to build a decent sized concrete skate park would cost about 5 million. When I say decent I mean about 20x20 metres square.
I guess it really depends on what you plan on making it out of.

I would also suggest shooting these guys WOODWARD (http://woodwardwest.com/) an email and see if they will give you some info on what it takes.

Yeah...have you tried going around your town getting people to sign a petition or something? Show this to some main person in your town...and they might even chip in some money also. I believe they think it will keep kids out of trouble, and sometimes they'd like to help. Just an idea...
