[CORRECTION: There's a discussion going on about whether to meet at Mavell Road. There's a proposal to make it Floyd Road. The safe thing for anyone attending will be to call Joseph at 9:30ish on his cell, which is 404-271-7716.]
This has been mentioned in both the folding bike forum, and in the long Atlanta thread here, but I thought it'd be worth announcing in a separate thread.
Last month we held a gathering of folding bike enthusiasts in the metro Atlanta area (organized here on bike forums). It was a fun event, despite the extreme August heat.
We're going to be repeating the event this Saturday, September 8th, at 10 AM. We're assembling at the Mavell Road entrance to the Silver Comet trail as described in this link

We're going to be organizing rides in other areas in the future (my own scheme is for a series of rides accessible from various MARTA train stops. So if you're a folder enthusiast in the area this is a good chance to meet other enthusiasts. At the last ride we had a two Bike Fridays, a Downtube, a Citizen's bike, a Raleigh Twenty, and a Raleigh Shopper represented.
The temperature is likely to be manageable this time, and we hope to have an even better turnout than the last event.
