I got a bulletin from the Fashion Police.

They said that now that Labor Day is over that all white bikes should be put away immediately and kept indoors until Easter. They wanted me to pass this along to the 50+ Forum, and thank everyone for their cooperation. :D

This is due to Wallmart taking out a patent on white bikes- They are recalling all of them due to a Manufacturing fault in the paint. Apparantly- You have to keep up an average of 16.5 mph on every ride- otherwise the paint hardens in the sun and sets up a chemical reaction with the Frame and destroying it.

Wallmart realise that this will cause hardship to all who own bikes and have offered to replace the bikes with any model from their range sold in their smaller stores.

Well, I live in WalMartkansas. That's why they asked me to pass the message along.

I can see her on a white bike, but it would have to be a brown or black bike painted white to match her painted blonde hair.

Phew! Thank you, thank you, thank you. :D

Um, when you say first bike, you DO mean "most used bike in the stable," right? Not as in "first bike you've owned..."

I didn't think that the "white" rule applied to "owned"

Are you telling us that they're not the same? I'll bet that you're divorced too - flittering from one new young thing after another. Tsk, tsk.

Undoubtably this is some of that white paint with lead in it, from China.

All white bikes manufactured since Oct 14, 2005 are being recalled. They will need to be sandblasted of every last speck of white paint. Then they will be repainted Prison Gray by those incarcerated within the California Penal System.

The only truly acceptable white bike ia a Peugeot - with the 'checkerboard' black wrap decals ..
