I'm so excited I barely slept last night. This will be my first year participating in the ms150, lol, being that i've only been on a bike 4 months. I've done a few charity rides, the biggest one I've been to so far was the Firecracker 100 on the 4th of July. There were several hundred riders there. Apparently there's going to be several thousands of riders down in New Bern for this event. YAY!! I can't wait to get down there and have a great time. We are planning on doing 100 miles each day, but the only thing for SURE is that Saturday will be a 100 mile day. Sunday is going to be be play it by ear. I leave in an hour to get my son home from school early, and my partner and I hit the road at 2:00. I'm sitting here looking at the clock thinking 'come on, 2:00!!' but i know it will be here before i know it. house is sparkling clean. laundry moutanin has been tackled and all the clothes are clean, folded/hung, and put away. bills are paid. fridge is full. the family will be all set while im gone. i swear if i come home to a pig stye, im just gonna turn right back around and go back to the beach. LOL!

Anyways, hope you all have a lovely weekend. Maybe see a few of you down there. Happy riding :D

All the best, a very worth event. I've ridden our local 75 km MS event the last 3 years raising a fair amount, I'm a little more motivated since a family member has MS.
Most of all have fun!

Good luck! I've ridden our local MS150 (Houston-Austin) for the last six years, and I'll be riding another (San Antonio-Corpus Christi) in October. It's a good cause and a well organized ride. Have fun at it.

So how'd it go, bikingMILF? Or is there another thread I should be looking at?

Thanks for doing this. It's a great cause.

Cheers.

One of the more fun rides I've been on. That first beer after day 1 very well may have been the most delicious thing I've ever tasted. Hope you had fun.

i had a great time. my friend and i rode down from the hotel we were staying in, so all total, we had just about 110 miles for the day in 6 hours. i really under estimate myself sometimes. when my partner told me what group he had signed us up for (15-17mph) i freaked, but we ended up pulling off an even 18mph average anyways, lol.

had a great time. the ride was nice, the rest stops were great and plentifull. i took a whopping like, 5 pictures. i dont know how you people do it. i guess you stop to take pretty pics along the way? heh....i can imagine what my riding partner would say if i tried to pull that crap. so ya, i have like a shot of the cyclists all gathered together at the beginning of the ride, a couple of some friends jaw jacking, and a couple of the first rest stop. after that, there was no time for pictures. :( oh well. had a great time, despite the lack of pictures! next year, we are thinking about camping out instead of booking a hotel room.

gearing up for Tour de Femme at the end of next month. Should be a cinch, its just a metric, but for a good cause. :D
