Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

From the article: It appears that the dump truck was traveling north on Eastlake Avenue East and was turning onto Fuhrman Avenue East when it hit the bicyclists, Jamieson said. The bicyclists were in front of the vehicle and it's possible the driver didn't see them, he said.
WTF??? If you are driving and making a turn, how is you don't see TWO bike in your direction of travel. This makes no sense to me!! We had the same thing happen here last year, woman run over by a log truck, and the driver wasn't even given a ticket??? Enough of the lame excuses, we need to start seeing some justice for senseless killing of cyclists.

It's amazing how drivers get away with hitting and killing pedestrians and bicyclists "because the driver didn't see them"...and these drivers are professionals who should know how to drive their vehicles, too.
Sad. I will follow this story.
