Foo - What was your first bike?

Royce Union 24" coaster brake 'paper boy' model. My dad bought it too big so I could "grow into it"...busted a tooth doing so...

A 16" purple, chopper barred, banana seat having, solid rubber tired piece of crap. I loved that bike.

I don't remember the brand. It was a plain, red 20" single speed with coaster brake. I learned to ride in about 20 minutes. After about a year, my uncle (a bike shop owner :)) gave me a new, gold, Raleigh Fireball (single speed). I loved that thing and rode it for a few years until we moved to the city, and it was stolen out of my back yard. :(

My uncle was a cop so my brothers and I would get the stolen bikes that no one would claim. The first and best one was painted flat black, banana seat, high handle bar with a huge slick tire and a 3 foot sissy bar on the back. Used to strap smoke bombs to the sissy bar and ........... well thats for another thread.:D

my first real bike was a haro group 1. i won the first race i was ever in on that bad boy.

can't remember. It was red and white and had fenders. it was too big for me so I could "grow into it", and I had to get on it at first from the curb. I later *******ized it with a banana seat and those high riser bars that were so hip in the late 60s early 70s. then I was too cool for a bike I guess. I wish I still had that bike. I would return it to it's pristine cruiser condition.

No idea. Probably a small one. I think I was about four when I was taught to ride.

Light blue Ross girl's Polobike.

IIRC, it was an ANCIENT single speed with a coaster brake. Red. Had fenders. Seeing as it wasn't a stingray or stingray clone, it was probably 40 years old AT THE TIME. 20", but I don't know which 20".

It got replaced by a newish bike that... I would say the closest type it was to was BMX, but it wasn't quite there, that had a... I'll just say a step-through frame, and a purple and white paint scheme. :o Got made fun of like crazy for that. :lol: Also 20" wheels, again, don't remember which.

That got replaced by a 15-speed 24" wheel MTB that I barely rode.

Didn't ride for several years, then I got my current Schwinn.

The earliest bike I remember having was a Mattel Vrroom bike. There was probably something before it but I have very spotty memories of my childhood.

an orange murray with the banana seat that i bought using change from my piggy-bank. we brought the money to the store in a sock.

my first trike was a really cool metallic blue one with 3 levels of steps on the back. my neighbor backed over it with her car.

The first bike I had was a blue 5-speed Schwinn 2-seater tandem which I received when I was six. Due to my age and visual disability, I learned how to ride a bicycle on this bicycle with the help of one of my parents. Five years and thousands of miles later, I bought a blue 5-speed cruiser which I was able to ride almost anywhere, whether it be on bumpy roads or places where there weren't roads. It was one of the best bicycles I ever owned

I remember it was a 26" red Murray with "gas tank" and a light inset in it. A "luggage rack" over the rear tire. It was cool!

But even more I remember my Brothers bike as being very unusual. Any help with its make and model would be appreciated. It was a 24" grey colored bike. It had squared off fenders front & rear. The grey fenders had some striping along their length, not gaudy but matching. It had no tank and I can not remember a luggage rack. The color and squared fenders made it unusual.

Huffy Thunderroad is the first bike I remember, but I'm pretty sure there was a smaller, 16" wheeled bike before that.

No idea on the brand. It was yellow and had ape-hangers and a banana seat with a big chrome sissy bar sticking up from the back.

My first bike I remember by brand was a Murray X-24 cruiser. 24" blue anodized cruiser-class BMX rims and hubs, chrome frame with blue anodized components and blue crash-pads.

Murray 100. I remember very clearly deciding my days of riding tricycles were over. I remember the exact spot where I said "I want a real bike". My mom and I then went to the bike shop and got this extremely cheap thing which I used for at least 4 years. Some how, for some reason, I really liked that thing.

Murray Wildcat.

20" Schwinn Stingray, metallic blue, bannana seat, sissy bar, and ape hanger handlebars. That bike was *****in, I was about 7, had it for about a year then tried to jump the railroad tracks. Crashed and split my head open to which my buddy screamed "o my God your head" to which I replied " o my God my bike". The front wheel was tacoed.

Had a yellow and black Murray BMX circa 1980. That is all I remember. I rode the hell out of it for 6 years

Blue BMX style bike. I don't remember anything else about it.

Some old huffy with 12" wheels or something. It was set up like a BMX bike with handlebar and top tube pads and a "7" number plate. It was without a doubt the crappiest bike I've ever owned, even worse than the NEXT bike I bought a year ago that only lasted 6 weeks.

A chrome mongoose flatland bike.
