So, This is my 3,000th message...

How have I done so far?

How is this for a risky poll?

Is that really enough to make an informed opinion?

I'm not sure who this newbie is but I gave him an E for excellent.

Those posts sneak up on you. I looked myself up to see if I had 3,000 posts. I have over 7,800. I never would have guessed half that many.

Please refrain from any feedback about how I'm doing.

I give you an A, and I'd give you an A based on this post alone, about the stealth decals: http://www.bikeforums.net/showpost.php?p=5183734&postcount=17

But I always enjoy reading your posts, and you spell well.

:roflmao:

Kind of like myself...

I have to admit, I found myself wondering if I would be like Roberto Clemente, and die with 3,000 hits... But then I quickly realized, I have 3,000 posts, and nowhere near 3,000 hits. ;)

No problem now, as you have 3001 posts.

I gave him an E just for making this "attention *****" poll. :D

BTW, did anyone else realize that "hoor" spelled correctly is a banned word?

So is the word for a female dog, which I actually wanted to use in a PM to refer to a female dog. That is not* a cuss word.

Sometimes, we can be just a little too PC, can't we?

I give you an A for having a good Avatar. And for being one of the smart ones.

Who is Little Darwin?

For that matter, is there a Big Darwin?

I gave him a B B-cause he didn't appear at the Bike Forums meeting at the Lancaster Covered Bridges Ride.

But I plan to be there next year...

And I should also be at the Bucks County Covered Bridge ride this year, but probably only doing one of the short flat rides... There just doesn't seem to be as big a push for a BikeForums meeting for that one.

Well, nobody else seemed to want to give me my 15 minutes of fame! So, I went out and grabbed it!

Now that it is almost over, all I can say, is it was well worth it!

It was a good post/poll. For putting up with all the ribbing you deserve the A's you got. You are now a regular fixture here in 50+.

There is a Big Darwin, sort of... But I outgrew him long ago.

Now, as with many old farts, I will start off on a long interesting tale. Interesting to nobody but me, but interesting.

Many years ago my parents were divorced, and my father didn't bother to keep track of my whereabouts, and I was so young that I didn't even realize until I was 14 or so that the person I called dad wasn't even my real dad... flash forward about 30 years, and my younger brother looked up our birth father, and we met up with him at a large family reunion that they had every other year in the Seattle year.

As it turned out, my dad's name is Darwin, so the family would occasionally sit around and wonder what ever happened to Little Darwin... since they hadn't seen me since I was about 3 or 4 years old. So at the reunion, everyone called me Little Darwin, which I enjoyed immensely. Big Darwin stands about 5' 6" and weighs about 160, and I was about 6' and weighed 420, so I had fun with the ironic name...

Each reunion they have a fun little awards ceremony at the end, and the person announcing me called me up as "Darwin Jr" and I corrected her, and said "Little Darwin" so among the cousins, I am still Little Darwin.

After 18 votes, Little Darwin has a GPA of only 2.28.

Back to remedial school for you LD!!

Yeah, but if you read the posts, the E's often stood for Excellent....

Bill Kapaun

Well, I'm not going to go back and read 3002 posts, but LD tends to give quite sound info, IMO.
If I did a poll, I think I'd only leave "A" as a choice:)

The bottom line is with this poll, as with my University studies... I don't care nearly as much about my average as about how much I learn...

:D

I completed my AA with highest honors... since moving up to make a run for a bachelors, I am struggling to hold onto a 2.0 and learning a lot more than I ever did at the 2 year institution. And I am much happier with myself. ;)

Plus, even if serious, I would rather have an honest 1.5 than an easy 4.0... well, when I am in a good mood anyway. :o
