Here you go.......I was able to put 62 miles on it (Selle Prolink Light Flite) today and for now it's a keeper. The real test will be a 100 miler but I see no reason why it won't do well. It's so similar to my other saddle-a Selle Max Flite Gel- I can't imagine having any issues with it.

Too much white in it.
Just hope the saddle works- but I have just noted an OCP error- Those bottle cages are not quite right- The blue is off - so you Don't Qualify for OCP status yet
But the Right accent is there- Red on a Blue bike is perfect.

The cranks are not level, and the chain is on the (gasp!) small ring. More OCP points off....:)
Great looking bike, tho. I LOVE red!

Over here a Red, White and Blue combo is Sacred!!!
And you are so correct about the bottle cages. The cages came in black/grey and the present blue color was the closest I could find in a pinch.
Keeping the chain on the small ring is good for the chain!!!

The blue of the bottle cages is very close to the blue lettering of the Trek decals.
It's beautiful! It's striking, without being gaudy! (After reading the roadie forum, I wanted to spell that "guady"!

Jppe.......how does the Prolink's width and firmness compare to the Max Flite Gel? Pics look similar but can't really tell.

Yeah, like people who spell "guadriceps," or refer to their huge "guads." Heh.

That's a beautiful bike, shade of bike cages notwithstanding.

Wow. It even looks fast. Does it go fast?
" .. is good for the chain"
And for the rear-der. idler cage spring as well ..
Although, wouldn't the chain being on the smallest cassette cog increase the effect?

I need a little more time on it but it feels a touch more narrow and a touch firmer. That could just be due to my Max Flite Gel being several years older, too. I think the width measures to be very close to the same though. I still think it's going to be very comfortable.

Don't you do a ton of climbing? Is that a 39x25 low gear, or is it a compact?

Very observant!!
I have the luxury of a different bike for mountain rides. I use a Trek 5900 with a 50/34 Shimano R700 compact crank and either a 12/27 or 11/34 rear cassette for all those fun rides. I use the Madone for most of my training and rides around the house. It has as 53/39 and most of the time I use a 12/27 cassette. I've found that when I go from the 53/39 to the 50/34 it is a very nice transition-similar to running with weights on your ankles and then taking them off for races. You might not be any faster but it sure feels like you have more power and can spin more easily. If I used the 50/34 around where I live I'd probably ride 95% of the time in the 50.........But if I had to choose between one or the other I'd definitely go with the 50/34 for all around use.
That's nice! It should get a lot of attention.

I have similar colored bottle cages on my Madone 5.0 and they match the lettering perfectly:)
