I have a vintage Trek 8500 with a 1 inch steertube. It is a work of art and I would not give it up for anything, but the 96 Judy xc on it is starting to get a little dated. I had planned on getting a new Marzocchi MX Pro because just a few months ago, it was still available in a 1 inch. Now apparently it is not. Only the Corsa WC is available with a 1 inch steerer and that is too spendy. I know the MX Comp had the optional 1 inch steel steerer up until 2004 at least. I am watching ebay, but no luck lately. Google searches show that stores had them up until recently but are sold out now. Does anyone know where I can find one?

as long as you watch it until the last minute, you should be fine.
