Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - grips for small hands

i'm about to swap out my drops for some risers on my commuter fixed and i was planning on putting oury grips on them but i have really small hands and i'm worried they're not really gonna work out for me for that reason (they're known for being good for people with big hands).

a) has anyone with small hands ridden oury grips? can you give me some feedback? are they rideable for us little-handed people?

b) can anyone recommend some other grips for people with little hands?

Do you mean thin grips? If so look into the Primo Josh Stricker grips, they're pretty thin but not so much to make it uncomfortable.

I don't think you'll have any problems with Ourys, but if you decide to go another route anyway, there are literally hundreds of different kinds of grips. Ourys are far from the most common, you should be able to find good grips from Ritchey, SRAM, ODI, Velo, Yedi, Salsa, and countless other companies at most decent bike shops.

yeah, thinner grips are going to be along the lines of what i'm looking for, since i just need grips that have a smaller diameter than average. thanks for the suggestion, i'll check out the primo ones.

i have small hands and i'm gonna swap out my ourys as soon as a get a few bucks together. they're way too thick. i was using bmx grips up until i put the ourys on, but i just had to see what all the hype was about. they're gone.

hype of ourys? try them. they're super comfy. i have them on my flats and got another pair for my drops.

not to say that others out there aren't also good. color choice makes it a hit too.

I've found Ourys to be way too mushy for me. I've got some Salsas (don't remember the name, but they're the ones with a bunch of little peppers on them) now and LOVE them.

Why not Champ grips? They come in thicknesses up to 4mm and tons of colors.

i use ourys on the tops and champs on the end of my bullhorns, i think it's the perfect set upfor bullhorns, i can't imagine champs on flat or riser bars as being very comfortable

odi ruffians, or, even though they are somewhat thicker, animal edwins. The most comfortable grips, as far as I'm concerned. I also really want to try out the revenge industries grips. You can check out most of those on bmx mailorder sites like empirebmx, albes, staff-bmx, and danscomp.
