This is a large Titan lugged steel road bike. The frame was manufactured in Italy for Titan of Switzerland sometime in the 80's and stored until sold on ebay NOS a couple of years ago. There were a number of threads on the Classic and Vintage forums discussing these frames at the time. The latest thread is here: http://bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=275801&highlight=titan
The frame has a unique finish. It is fully chromed and the chrome has a gold tint applied. The rear half was painted black with a crosshatch fade. The black scratches rather easily, but Testor's black model paint serves well for touch-ups.
The frame is built up with low gearing to accomodate my knee and hip issues. The size is 63cm c-t, with a TT of 58cm c-c which is a traditional road-sport geometry. Consequently, it's an ideal bike for a larger rider seeking a relatively upright position and climbing gearing. It weighs about 24 pounds according to the fish scale.
Note: The pedals and Brooks saddle are NOT included! Also, the seat post was cut for my saddle height. If your true inseam is much more than 35", you'll need a new, longer, seat post.
The build:
Shifters: Dura-Ace barcons
Levers: Cane Creek
Bars: Ritchey Pro 46cm
Stem: Modolo quill
Headset: Shimano 105
Fork: Easton EC30 carbon
Brakes: Tektro RX-40
Crank: FSA 50/34 compact
BB: Something ISIS. Italian threaded.
Front Derailluer: FSA
Chain: SRAM 9 speed
Cassette: SRAM 11-32 9 speed
Rear Derailleur: Shimano Deore
Seat Post: Black Kalloy
Front Hub: Sachs
Rear Hub: Shimano 105
Rims: Velocity Razor
Spokes: DT 14/15 DB
Tires: Continental Ultra 3000 wire bead 700Cx28mm
I'm looking for $400 for this complete bike. I ship to the continental US in a bike box for my cost and no bogus charges. I can take PayPal.
