Hello Foosters, I would like to pick your collective minds a bit.
I'm thinking about getting my wife a new camcorder. We used to have a nice Sony one that recorded to a 60gig hard drive... or was it 50 gig, I can't recall. And I paid a small fortune for it a few years back. Well, it got stolen from her car about a year ago and she said she didn't want a new one, but I know she really does. In all actuality, I want her to et a new one. I work 13 hour shifts at night and the only time I get to see my baby boy (other than my 4 days off) is through the videos she takes for me using a little point and shoot camera... and it's quality leaves a bit to be desired.
We don't need anything near what we used to have, just a little thing that costs no more than $300, I'd like to keep it close to $200. It'll only be used for taking videos around the house and pretty much nothing more.
I don't need all the new fancy mumbo jumbo stuff, you know, a camera that has 400 functions but only 7 of them ever get used and the others are just there to jack up the price, just something simple that records to mini-dv.
So lay it on me, what would you all suggest???
