Is it just me, or does anybody else find the lag in the speedo readout a little disconcerting?

Sometimes I take a quick look at the speedo, touch the brakes, feel the bike slow, have another look at the speedo and see a higher reading!

I appreciate that there is a good reason for this, but has anybody tried installing an extra magnet or two (and adjusting the programmed wheel diameter) to make the device a bit more responsive?
