Yesterday I was not feeling very well, but really wanted to do some riding. So I rode may age. My time was good for me, at 14.2 mph for 55 miles. Cold and windy weather. Got rained on twice. But my birthday in not for annother month, so I guess its not rally a ride my age ride. But I rode my age. I was so chilled after the ride I spent 30 minutes soaking in the tub. Still feeling sick this AM. Now for the pie....My wife thought that I might have a tough ride, as she could see a lot of dark clouds where I was headed to, so she bought me a Hostess Fruit Pie. I did not get it until this morning, so if I eat it does this count as a pie ride? To wit, does the pie need to be eaten during the actual process of the ride, or can it be eaten after the conclusion of ride proper? How soon following the conclusion of the ride must a consumed pie piece be consumed to be considered as the essetnial element of the pie ride?

Need rules interpretation here.

Now to actually conform to the Ethics of the Pie- It should be had somewhere on the ride- But that is not always possible. We all know that there are certain Fanatics that only get off their bike at the end of a ride and do not not worry about the Hunger pangs or heed the reports about taking nourishment on a ride to Stop Bonking, So in the case of these few reckless riders- it was ruled that it is OK to have pie once you get home. Unfortunately you have not conformed to the secondary ruling in that the pie must be consumed in the same sweaty- dirty- mud splattered clothing that you did the ride in. (Unless you put the clothing back on this morning- but as you have a diligent wife- she probably scuppered that alternative by washing it or throwing into the Garden for you to wash- and as a married male that would not occur till about Thursday)

So sorry- Only one thing for it and that is to do the ride again in a couple of weeks when you are feeling better. Good ride though- Just a pity you did not read the rules first as your "Double" attempt on the "Pie" and "ride your age" ride is Null and Void

You've opened another can of worms with this post:eek::eek: We still haven't come to a definite conclusion on the "Birthday rides" and now you've added pie to the mix:rolleyes:

Hope you're feeling better.

I really like the method of determining rules my younger sister used when we were kids. She made her own rules as we played games and then cried to mother that I was cheating when she was losing:mad::mad: So I say you should make your own rules and ignore any additional input.

A day after Hostess Fruit Pie is hardly worthy of being the reward of an age ride!

I can't speak to the rest of it but in my book a Hostess Fruit Pie is totally acceptable
Though I usually eat mine somewhere during the ride, not after
Oops I just spoke to it, didn't I?

Perhaps on ride your age rides, we should eat cake. Or should that only be
if we ride our age on our actual Birthday making cake mandatory on
Birthday ride your age rides and pie acceptable on Unbirthday ride your
age rides there-by making pie mandatory on the pie ride? :D

Oh my head hurts, I thing I'll ride out for a Cheesburger!

Sorry-the phrase "hostess fruit pie" is oxymoronic.
