Ive got a threaed fork and need to get it cut down and rethreaded....into FRENCH Threads

And i located in the Bay Area about 30min North of San Fran... in Fairfield..

I need to get my fork cut but everyone (bike shops) says go to these frame builders and theyd be willing to cut and rethreaded. They refer me to the frame builders due to the fact that the 'dies' are expensive and are really meant to chase threads not cut new ones.

I want it rethreaded into French but i know that is next to impossible..

Got any suggestions where i should send my fork to????

And ive also got a set of 28hole Zeus Track Hubs on the way to my house. Any recommendations on 28 hole rims that ARE clinchers that i could throw on them??

can you just change the headset, if not, you could get a good die and cut the thread with it, making sure you start with a good part of the steerer tube without remaining english threads. I,ve also cut threads on a steerer tube using a lathe and single pointing the threads on, you leave the fork steerer tube long to be able to hold on to it and thread the area you need, then part the remaining end off.
