I'm 5'6", 150#, and ride a 16" frame, but I could get by on a 17". Can you give different sizes a try at the local bike shop and see what fits best?

Oh, by the way, 26" refers to the wheel size. Most mountain bikes are 26" models, though nowadays, 29" (as in the wheel size) are popping up all over the place.

Hey Everyone :)
I have a question please ,, I now ride a 26 inch mountain diamond back .. I wanna upgarde but it seems I am getting confused by the sizes on the GT or Haro .. They list sizes such as 17 18 inches ,, I'm 5'7 at like 150 ponds like 30 inch instem ... What size would you sugest I get ??? Thanks

The 26 inch mountain bike you ride has 26" wheels, it isn't a specific size.

The best way to find the right sized bike for you is to get fitted at your local bike shop. Even if 17" were your size, a 17" from one bike manufacturer may not fit you as well as another's so go check the bikes out at your local bike shop.

Yeah We have a place here ,, I guess I could go in and ask ... I was really hoping to know cause I wanna start looking online and in local papers for a good deal .. Looking for a GT or Haro Full suspension ...

A decent bike shop would have no problem with you going in and trying out bikes. You are under no obligation to buy from them or even let them know you plan to buy elsewhere. I usually buy electronics the same way: check it out at Circuit City, fend off the salespeople, then go online and find it for 30% less. :)
