I have a pair of NON-STI Dura-Ace brake levers,
also known as Aero levers.

I'm going to use them on my singlespeed cyclocross bike.
They were used and very cheap.

The only problem is that they are a pair of two LEFT levers, instead of a right and a left.

Does anyone know if there is a real difference between left and right levers other than the tiny "L" and "R" that is printed into the rubber hood????

They seem like they would work fine, even though they are technically "a pair of lefts."

THANKS.

As long as you have 2 left hand drops on your bars...JUST KIDDING. I do not think there is much difference other than any possible ergo-shaping. You might want to PM Rev.Chuck...he is very helpful as far as parts usability. He knows his stuff...and then some!

the cable routing will be slightly different. on most aero levers, the cable will come out so that it will fit on the inside of the handlbar. i'm not sure about the dura-ace levers...but i'd bet that it's the same deal.

To use two lefts you need to attack the mount with a dremel and create a left side exit for the housing on the right lever. You can get new hoods that are left and right.

And I was going to say the difference is that one is usually on the right side, and one on the left!
My bad.
