Cat pee can actually weaken nylon, the bag can probably take it and all but watch for fraying and whatnot. This is more an issue with climbing gear and stuff like that.
they make stuff that specially made for taking that smell out
good luck dude
put it through the washer with lots of tide? that usually gets the piss smell out of anything my cats pee on.
There is a plant enzyme product called Pure Ayre that is made especially for getting out odors such as cat piss out of things. It actually works. A woman with six cats and an amazing antique rug collection turned me on to it.....

There is also something that they sell at Petco called Natures Miracle. Its like the stuff mentioned above, its got enzymes that break the proteins down, nutralizes the acid, only stuff that going to work.....
while you're burning the bag to get the smell out, torch the cat, too.
that smell is near-impossible to get out.
Use the natures miracle stuff then wash it with baking soda and water. Then store it with an open box of baking soda inside. If that doesn't work you can mail it to me, I have a pretty poor sense of smell.

If you catch it right away (like, when it's still wet) you can usually just wash it and the smell will come out. One of our cats pissed on my Chrome Metropolis yesterday and so I'm washing it in the kitchen sink again with laundry detergent and some oxy-clean. I got used to having to do this when my cat was a kitten and hadn't gotten the hang of the litterbox yet.
My old hiking pack still smells of cat piss. Actually, it's a combination smell between piss and piss-smell-removerer. It didnt really work.

Sorry, didn't see Kemmer's post, but this stuff took out all the smell from the garage when i moved my studio in there.
By the way, this (http://www.book-smiths.com/si/OX-Magic.html)works well too

not sure about cat piss, but dr bronner's wiped liberally on the inside (and then wiped off, of course) has helped a lot with spilled malt likker on a couple of occasions.

My cat peed on my timbuk2 backpack the first day of using it. I just scrubbed the area with simple green and let it sit in the fresh air for a long time, then sprayed some of my girlfriends love spell sexy smell spray on it and it's been good since then.
