Here's my story, and I'm sure you will like it, because it wasn't written by Danielle Steel, Harold Robbins, or Ayn Rand, so you know it won't suck.
I pull up to the URL known as bikeforums.com for the first time with a smirk and cheeky swagger brought on by eleven Guinness the night before. I check it out a bit, happen on the Spy link on the top-bar menu and find a cool thread called "Hottest Chick On A Bike." Wow! There's some pics of scantily clad babes...oh, and some bikes or something.
So, I bookmark it, hoping to come back later and check it out some more. Tick-tock, tick-tock, where does the time go? Oh, I think I will check that link out again. Click! Place the Jeopardy waiting music here as the page loads and I find a square that states I can't visit that page. Well! Fine then, be that way.
Our hero valiantly mounts an expeditionary force to the "Search the forums" range, somewhere south of the Carpathians, only to be thwarted by communist forces, gorillas with gas masks and squirt guns loaded with all the fragrances introduced by celebritites, and various threads that are similar but not matching our original thread. Well, ain't this a fine bit of GIANT STEAMING PILES OF POO!
What I wants to know is, has the 'hot chicks' thread been eaten by the self-appointed PC police who think they are being fiendishly clever by not allowing things they find uninteresting or risque or containing boobies to never see the line of sight of other people who may not give a @$%& because they are irreverent bastiges and tend towards the iconoclastic OR has the search feature suddenly developed a fever, perhaps one that creates a blind spot in the retina for anything containing tropical fruits, movies where Halle Berry dresses like a cat, or threads with the word 'CHICKS' in it?
I just want to know. I thought it was cool, now I can't find it. It breaks the heart. See poor little Timmy here? He's only 9 years old. Sure he doesn't have shoes and he has never been to school, but he could at least count on the BF threads he was looking for to be there. He knew he could find that picture of the girl from Queen's "Fat Bottom Girls" somewhere on the thread. Now, what does he have? Endless threads about Flandis and his ability to win the race to the summit of L'Alp d'Court, and "What type of vegetable looks best in your shorts?" threads. Heart wrenching stuff. Won't you send in your dollars to end this tragedy now?
