Here's the dilemma:

1976 olympic-ridden Pogliaghi pista frameset in Team Canada paint

or

pre 1968 Cinelli Pista full bike

Both in my size, both in really nice shape (the Pog is mint), both eminently affordable for someone with a decent job i.e. not me. What the heck am I gonna do?

Man, I wish I had more money.

Neither if you're gonna ride it on the street and **** it up with botched lock jobs.

pog, if for nothing else than for the team paint. i seldom try to micromanage other people's builds, but please take care of it if it's in good shape.

think about the geometry. the older, the looser.

that sounds dirty as hell, but whatever. it's true.

eff it. I'll probably just get them both, ruin my mariiage, and sleep in my huge cold bed with lots and lots of bikes.

Or you could do all that, sell the bed, and then sleep on the floor with EVEN MORE bikes!

i hope my wife doesn't read this

You know, you could buy both and flip one of them once you decide. While you sit here thinking about it and asking strangers on the internets somebody a little more decisive is probably buying them. "Buy now, think later" when the item can be sold for a profit without too much trouble. That's why I got the IRO group buy frame without knowing if I would be able to afford to build it.

i thought about my highschool geometry teacher. she wasn't young.

anyway, i like the 'buy now think later' mentality. you could probably sell without too much of a problem if you had too.

Bikes are kind of lousy as an investment if you actually ride them, but that said... Cinelli

Being Canadian, I'm kinda partial to the team Canada rig, but this is tough call. I wish I had these kinda problems instead of my regular ones.

You should buy the Pog, if they are in the 56-58 range, so that I can buy the Cinelli.
