make that SEAT TUBE fender. my bad.

the rain we had today made me realize i need some kind of fender.

for the time being i'm gonna go with a clip on seat tube fender, but i need some advice as to what works best. then eventually i'll fit some onto my bike for the winter. i just need a hold-me-over to last until it really gets bad.

so yeah. what do you guys use?

i also have that ^

it works great for banishing the mudstripe up my back...

the only problem is that my front wheel is still shooting water up into my chest/face..

You could also get a planetbike QR mudguard for the front, but nothing stops grime like a full fender.

and about that.. i would have to get the plantebike one, cuz I have the fuji track, and I dont think i can mount full fenders on it.. i see no eyelets anywhere..

Indeed I was.

I've got one of those too, but I have a beater to ride in the rain. The PB mudguard looks like it would keep your shirt clean but not your shins; just not enough coverage.

i have the clip on with the fabric closure camlock, and i like it. however, it's with my mountain bike in oregon where it rains.

here at school i use a really crappy screw-on type which is the same cept for the closure around the tube.
it's icky. get the fabric one.

Even w/eyelets in the front, would there be enough clearance to mount a fender on a track frameset?

i have the headland clip-on qr one (similar to the one posted up top), but honestly i use it rarely as i live close enough to my job and school that i don't absolutely have to ride. it's fairly effective but honestly it only keeps a comparatively small part of your body dry if it's actually raining. if rain has stopped but the roads are still wet, that's a different game.

is your frame drilled for a brake? Drink a 2 liter(in one sitting prefeably). Cut in half long ways. Leave bottle mouth whole. Punch a small hole in the cap. Bolt the cap onto your frame. Screw the bottle half on. It's cheap. It's easily removable and replaceable. It keeps the skunk stripe off your bag and shirt.
